October 26, 2026 • Turning awareness into intercession.

Purpose & Source Standard

This record provides the public sources supporting the factual context used in this week's To The Throne intercession letter and video. Each source is paired with a short explanation of what it establishes. Primary and credible local sources are prioritized where available, consequential claims are independently corroborated when reasonably possible, and copies of the same underlying report are not treated as independent confirmation.

Wednesday, October 28 — Intercession Update & Kenya Praise Report

These additions preserve Wednesday's dated reporting alongside Monday's original verification record; they do not overwrite previous findings.

Nyala, Sudan — new urgent development

MSF, October 27: Primary clinical report of 36 bodies received and over 150 injured patients treated after October 26 strikes. Attribution of responsibility is MSF's, not an independent determination.

Associated Press, October 27: Reports competing estimates; does not establish higher allegations as verified.

Bundibugyo Ebola — DRC / Kenya / Nigeria

WHO, October 23: Primary outbreak figures dated through October 20; different reporting dates must not be combined.

Associated Press, October 26: Reported attack on health workers.

Verified praise — Kenya Ebola contact monitoring

Kenya News Agency, October 26: Health director-general's announcement that 20 contacts completed 21 days symptom-free and 98 remained monitored.

The Standard, October 26: Second report of the same official announcement, not an independent patient outcome study. These contacts were NOT recovered Ebola patients.

Gaza — continuing aid and access needs

OCHA, published October 26: Primary humanitarian reporting largely covering October 12–18. Projected aid reach is not a final measured total.

Taiz, Yemen — continuing needs

UNICEF, October 20: Water, displacement, children and health access; not a newly occurring Wednesday event.

Amiet Market / Abyei — continuing needs

UNISFA, October 21: Primary statement regarding October 19 attacks; final casualty counts and perpetrator identity remain uncertain.

Radio Tamazuj, October 22: Reports UNISFA's findings, with shared underlying sourcing.

Mali — continuing ledger only, outside Wednesday's five graphic matters

Archive principle: Future Friday source rechecks will be appended with dates; historical Wednesday wording will not be silently rewritten.

Thursday, October 29 — Persecuted Church Prayer Letter: Ethiopia

Letter TTTPC-0001-01 · Merti and Shirka districts, Arsi Zone, Oromia Region. The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church reported that attacks on October 20 and 24 killed 60 people, left more than 20 seriously wounded, and burned 20 homes. Those figures are church-reported; casualty estimates vary across reporting. Eyewitness accounts and conflict-event analysis document serious violence, but the perpetrators and motives are not independently established. Do not treat repeated retellings of the Church's statement as independent confirmations of its casualty count.

Associated Press — eyewitness reporting

Associated Press, October 27: Interviews a resident who helped transport injured people and a priest who saw wounded people at a hospital. Adds witness context, not an independent 60-death census.

African Press Agency — Holy Synod statement

APA News, October 26: Reports the Church's account of 14 deaths in Merti on October 20 and 46 in Shirka on October 24. These are attributed Church figures.

ACLED — conflict-event analysis

ACLED, Arsi Zone analysis: Provides a conflict-event dataset and regional historical context. Its incident-level estimates are not directly interchangeable with the Church's combined figure, and actor identification remains uncertain.

The Abay Times — local Ethiopian reporting

The Abay Times, October 26: Covers the Synod statement and differing local witness reports. Note the variation rather than silently merging the reported tolls.

World Council of Churches — church response

WCC statement, October 27: Calls for protection, care, accountability and reconciliation. It is a church response, not a separate forensic verification of casualties.

Prayer focus: Comfort for the grieving, healing for the wounded, refuge and provision for displaced families, protection and strength for local believers, fair investigation and peace, and repentance and salvation for those responsible.
